Biography

Are you looking for new ways to get your family in shape? This blog is to inspire families, like yours, with ideas that will get you on the right path to a healthier lifestyle. I am a military spouse and busy mom of four and a Certified Group and Personal Fitness Trainer, but you can call me Spin Diva. Finding the time to exercise, energize and revitalize is not easy, but we can do it together. I am passionate about teaching others how to reach their fitness goals and bring the kids along with them.

At home, I am a run-around-mom or a RAM because staying home doesn't really happen much. I am usually running to the gym, Soccer practice, Choir rehearsal or recital, Art exhibition or a PTA event. My husband is in the US Navy but his passion is wood craft and collecting woodworking tools, we'll call him Mr. Toolman.

Our children: Together we have four wonderful kids because two were not keeping us busy enough ;-). The oldest is a boy,17, loves music so we'll call him The Conductor (TC), a girl 13, loves listening to music and drawing, she's The Artist (TA), another girl age 5, loves her pet rats, (yes rats) she's our Baby Girl (BG) and lastly holding his own at the age of one, Baby Boy (BB.)

As a family, we enjoy playing board games, Wii video games, bowling, and just about anything we can do together. We support our growing military community through volunteer programs available through our base chapel and surround ourselves with family near and far as well as the friends who become family in an instant.

At the Gym (where I can actually think) I teach Body Sculpting, Total Body Conditioning and of course my favorite, indoor cycling, better known as Spinning. The age range for all my students is from 0-90, at all levels of physical fitness. In my spare time (ha! between the hours of 9 pm and 3am), I am a part-time student at UMUC working towards a degree in Social Studies with a minor in Humanities.

Get on board and spin along with me. Turn your wheels my way again soon and see what new ideas are cycling through this site!

Stay well,

The Spin Diva
